After weeks of scouring the internet, weighing the reasonability and awesomeness of countless activities, I have finally compiled my list of 60 activities. I am excited, overwhelmed, nervous, and looking forward to this list. I see many a mess for many of the ideas, but I also think I will see many a smile! If you have done anything on my list, and have any feedback of dos and don'ts, please share! A lot of these I am flying blind on. I'll be sure to share how they go!
*Note: These are not in any particular order, except that the last six are trips, not just at-home activities

Summer of the Super 60
- Glow sticks in the bathtub.
- Writing your ABC's in shaving cream.
- Backyard Campout
- Fossil Digger. They have dino bones at the Dollar Tree. Bury them, and get your paint brushes ready to dust away dirt.
- Oobleck
- Balloon tennis.
- Puppet show.
- Make fruit loop necklaces! Before stringing them, you can also use to practice math games: patterns, classifying, ordering, adding, subtracting
- Balloon Characters. Draw a face and then name them. (WARNING: your kids will be crushed if these ones pop, tears MAY BE SHED).
- INDOOR Picnic. Make sure to use a NON favorite blanket ;)
- “Just Dance”!
- Make an obstacle coarse with crape paper streamers.
- Make popsicle stick puzzles. Storing a puzzle in a rubber band is brilliant enough I think. (using a photo is fun too)
- Make GIANT bubbles. Poke a hole in the bottom of a paper cup, or cut off the bottom of a water bottle. Dip. Blow. Use homemade bubble solution too!
- Color-Trace Leaves. If you haven't done this before...get to work.
- Hand Print Art. Elephants, flowers, lions, reindeer, turkeys etc... it's endless.
- Ice cube paint. Freeze water and food color in ice trays. Freeze with a toothpick or popsicle stick. Go outside if it's warm and enjoy some cold painting.
- Homemade Lava Lamp
- Mini Marshmallow construction. Give them toothpicks and you've got a good hour of down time.
- Paint and Roll Marbles.
- Make cookies.
- Make a pinecone bird feeder. You'll enjoy the fruits of your labor all summer while bird watching
- Scavenger Hunt
- A picnic. A regular one. Nothing's better than a spot of shaded grass on a hot day.
